Tamás Gáll

I am the founder of the Hungarian Ukulele Blog, launched in 2010, and the owner and editor-in-chief of the Ukulele Hungary website (www.ukulele.hu), launched in 2015.

I have played piano since 1986, bass guitar since 2002 and ukulele since 2010. I try to pick up an instrument every day, whether to practise or to make music with family and friends.

In autumn 2022, I became a Kala ukulele ambassador.

My aim is to introduce the ukulele to as many people as possible and encourage them to make music. I believe the ukulele is an accessible instrument that you can learn to play without first having to understand all the theory behind it. If music theory becomes interesting later, there is plenty of time to discover why C major is C major. There is no upper age limit for learning the ukulele: anyone can pick one up at any age and start playing. Through my blog posts, I try to guide aspiring players step by step through the learning process and, by arranging a variety of songs, help them learn specific pieces as well.
