I became a Kala ukulele ambassador
Dear Ukulele Players!
I would like to share some happy news with you. You probably know that Kala is a ukulele brand: I have presented quite a few Kala ukuleles here on the blog (the first one in 2012), and Kala ukuleles were also available in the webshop at the time. Well, the Kala company—recognizing my efforts over more than a decade to build the Hungaria ukulele community—has added me to its ambassadors. This actually happened a few weeks ago, but I had to wait until my profileappeared under “Ambassadors” on Kala's website before I could announce it here as well. It is a huge honour for me, and I am genuinely happy .

Thanks for the photo to my friend and fellow musician Gyuri, with whom I play in the ukulele duo called Keskeny Megálló.
For the occasion Kala sent me an “ambassador ukulele”, a Kala KA-SMH-TG-CE, and I also made a demonstration video about it (there is aseparate blog post about it). Since Kala does not install strap buttons on its ukuleles at the factory, I had strap buttons fitted afterwards, which I also wrote about in another blog post. I would appreciate it if you followed my Kala Ukulele Ambassador page:
As a ukulele ambassador, my task remains to promote a love of music and, within that, to show what a wonderful thing it is to learn to play the ukulele—or indeed any musical instrument.
The official announcement on Kala's Instagram page:
Finally, a few photos of unpacking the “ambassador ukulele”, whose arrival I had been eagerly awaiting:
