Ukulele meetups

Playing together, meeting new people and sharing ukulele experiences since 2017.

I have been organising ukulele meetups at a variety of venues since 2017. We get together to make music, meet one another and strum as a group. I am delighted that more and more people arrive with ukuleles, while others come before buying their first instrument simply to get to know the ukulele or enjoy a musical afternoon.

As host of the meetups organised through ukulele.hu, I try to bring a musical novelty or surprise to every event and choose songs that let complete beginners and experienced players alike enjoy making music together.

When a new meetup is announced, registration is available from this page. There is currently no upcoming ukulele meetup.

Below you can find blog reports with photos and videos from earlier meetups.

What is the difference between a ukulele course and a ukulele meetup?

A course is a full-day event built around a structured syllabus and teaching method I developed. It focuses on practical ukulele playing and musicianship, with organised material, plenty of hands-on examples and, depending on the course, more or less theory. A meetup is a shorter community event where ukulele players can get to know one another and play songs together. Meetups are not teaching sessions.
