Dear (Future) Ukulele Players!

I have fallen quite far behind in recent months. Although I try to practise as much as possible and work on new songs, I owe you both blog posts and videos. I will do my best to return with new material soon .

After discussions with the venue, we have now managed to find dates for the new courses in 2025. Contrary to my original plans, however, they will take place in February rather than January. Unfortunately I had to raise the fee slightly, so one session now costs HUF 22,000. Anyone who registers for both courses, or who has attended a course before, can of course still participate at a discounted rate.

Ukulele Course I – 15 February 2025 (Saturday), 9:00–16:00 – fully booked I'M INTERESTED IN THE NEXT COURSE I

Ukulele Course II – 22 February 2025 (Saturday), 9:00–16:00 – fully booked I'M INTERESTED IN THE NEXT COURSE II

If you are interested in the courses and would like to apply, click the "Courses" menu item to read all the information and register there as well (or click the buttons above).

The course fee can also be paid with a SZÉP card!

The course venue is:1056 Budapest, Irányi u. 3. The venue is near the foot of Erzsébet Bridge, and we will meet there on both occasions. Parking in the area is free at weekends. If you come by public transport, I can recommend tram 2 and numerous bus routes (5, 7, 110, 112, 178, etc.)—although I do not know which of these run at weekends—and both Ferenciek tere and Astoria metro stations are nearby.

The two courses can be taken directly one after the other. I would like to point out that the one-week gap between them is nowhere near enough for what you see and hear in Course I to become genuine skill in such a short time. Even so, you may register for both courses, because my aim is for the material I demonstrate and teach to provide such a quantity and structure of information and content that you will have plenty to practise for many months—or even years—and will be able to continue progressing independently. If someone registers for both courses, they receive a 10% discount on the fee of each course!

I warmly welcome your applications, and if you have any questions beforehand, send me an email or contact me on Facebook!

Kala U-BASS

Not long ago I published a post called "Bass! That's Heavy!" about Kala's bass ukulele. Now I have had this interesting instrument for a few days so that I could try it myself. The U-BASS is essentially a…
