Ukulele Meetup and Course in August
UPDATE: jump to the Summer Ukulele Meetup 2020 blog post
UPDATE: jump to the Ukulele Courses in August blog post
We would like to organize both a ukulele meetup and a ukulele course in August. We hope the pandemic situation does not interfere with our plans.
Ukulele meetup:
The meetup is expected to take place on a weekday afternoon in the second half of the week beginning August 10 (August 12, 13 or 14). (These are the correct dates; the newsletter contained incorrect dates.) We will publish further information here on the website and on our Facebook page.
Ukulele course:
As a preliminary survey for the course, I would like to ask what kind of course you would be interested in — there are currently two options — and which of the possible dates would suit you.
We will be able to organize whichever course and date receives the most responses.
If there is enough interest in both courses, I will try to organize both.
Possible dates:
Saturday, August 22, 2020, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. or 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Sunday, August 23, 2020, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
Saturday, August 29, 2020 (be careful: this is a working Saturday!) 9 a.m.–4 p.m. or 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Sunday, August 30, 2020, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
Please give me at least one day that would work for you. If several are suitable, list them in order of preference (you can even mark all four).
Courses:
Ukulele Course I (for complete beginners — you have never held a ukulele before)
Ukulele Course II (for "almost" beginners and people returning to the instrument — you know a few basics and would like to learn more chords and techniques)
You can read the detailed description of both courses by clicking here .
Please tell me whether you would attend Ukulele Course I or II.
So what I need from you is one course and one (or more) dates.
The venue is expected to be: Ferencváros Cultural Center
Trams 24 and 28 stop directly in front of it, and it is only a few minutes' walk from the Nagyvárad tér metro station. Parking is also available nearby (paid parking applies on the working Saturday).
We expect to be in a large, airy room, so we should also be able to maintain appropriate distancing.
The venue is still being finalized. If anything changes, I will definitely let you know.
IMPORTANT: responding to this survey does not yet count as registration. Please respond only if there is a very high chance that you will actually be able to attend on the day or days you indicate.
Thank you in advance for your feedback.
