Summer Course I in 2023
I was delighted to meet 12 very kind and likeable ukulele players last Sunday. I felt that the day had a really good atmosphere, and by the end it seemed as though the few hours we spent together had passed in an instant.
First we learned the basics: how to hold and tune the ukulele and how rhythm works. Then we played lots of chords and practised steady strumming and chord changes. Dear Participants, it was wonderful to see your enthusiasm and sustained attention. As I said during the course, it is no problem if something did not work the first time: with practice everyone can reach the goal they have set, whether that means learning a new chord or making chord changes smooth and fluent.
At the end of the course, thanks to D'Addario—one of the world's largest manufacturers of strings and accessories—we raffled off a few ukulele accessories. Huge thanks to D'Addario!
Thank you for helping with packing up and carrying everything downstairs at the very end of the course !!!
We will meet again in a few days at Course II .
Thanks to Csilla for the photos she took, and I also snapped a few on my phone. Enjoy them:
