Yesterday's Course II, like the spring one, began with ten participants. We exercised the part of our brains responsible for rhythm and also learned muting techniques. We became acquainted with many, many chords, including barre shapes. For me, one of the highlights was the handful of songs we put together. I brought my bass guitar and offered it to anyone willing to play the few notes that can add a wonderfully full low end beneath the high sound of a ukulele chorus. Full credit to Dorottya, who took on the task: after I showed her which notes to play, she accompanied the ukulele group flawlessly several times. Thanks to Szandra for helping with the melody playing, and of course huge thanks to everyone for accompanying the songs so brilliantly.

As always, I would like to tell my Students that what we discussed, played and practised during the course was a lot and quite intensive, but all of it will give you material to build on over the coming months. Just practise patiently, regularly—and of course as much as you can.

At the end of the course, thanks to D'Addario—one of the world's largest manufacturers of strings and accessories—we raffled off a few ukulele accessories. Huge thanks to D'Addario!

The new course dates are set (I will activate the registration forms soon):
Course I: 16 September 2023 (Saturday!!)
Course II: 24 September 2023 (Sunday)
Course III: 1 October 2023 (Sunday)
