Last Sunday I held Course II. I was delighted that there was so much interest that the course was fully booked, so a few minutes after 9:00, 18 enthusiastic ukulele players started making music together. As usual, we worked on rhythm techniques during the morning and learned a few new chords, then in the afternoon we explored further chords, including barre shapes. At A major I had to run out for a two-minute technical break, but to my great delight you kept practising A major under the guidance of one of the participants, Timi. Timi, thank you again for “volunteering” . (In reality it was not entirely voluntary , but it worked all the better—and there is even a recording of it.)

We covered a lot of dense material. It seemed to me that I managed to give both the participants' fingers and their brains a proper workout , but everyone handled the “ordeal” brilliantly , and by the end we even made friends with the chords of Hotel California.

I would also like to tell my Students here that what we discussed and played during the course was indeed a lot and quite intensive, but all of it will serve as “fuel” for your practice over the coming months.

At the end of the course, thanks to D'Addario—one of the world's largest manufacturers of strings and accessories—we raffled off a few ukulele accessories. Huge thanks to D'Addario!

Special thanks to Erika, Viki and Ildi for the photos and videos. Here is a small taste of today's atmosphere:
