Early-autumn Ukulele Course II — report
As a continuation of last week's late-summer Ukulele Course I, I held Course II yesterday. During the morning we learned new chords, and in the afternoon we moved on to the foundations of music theory and barre chords. We covered a dense and substantial amount of material. It looked as though I managed to give both the participants' fingers and their brains a proper workout , but everyone handled the “ordeal” fantastically . I even managed to photograph the most beautiful D major chord I have seen at any of the courses so far — see below .
I would also like to tell my students that both the theoretical and practical material was extensive and intensive, but all of it will serve as “fuel” for your practice over the coming months.
At the end of the course, thanks to D'Addario — one of the world's largest manufacturers of strings and accessories — we raffled off several ukulele accessories. A huge thank-you to D'Addario!
The next ukulele event will be the meetup, and everyone is warmly invited ! You can read the details by clicking here .
