Lanikai MA-S Soprano
The good news is that Lanikai ukuleles are available in Hungary again, and you can browse them in the webshop. First I would like to introduce Lanikai's smallest model, the MA-S. "MA" is Lanikai's entry-level range, and there are also concert, tenor and baritone sizes in this family. The only difference between them is their size. They are all reliable, attractive instruments, and despite being entry-level models, they never give you the feeling that you are holding something of poor quality. Quite the opposite! Even in this range, Lanikai puts a visually appealing, dependable ukulele in your hands — and one that looks much better in person than in the factory photographs.
Does it look familiar to you? It did to me, because quite a few years ago I had the chance to try its father (or grandfather?), the LU-21. The MA-S now continues that tradition with the same simple white binding, a mahogany body, but now with two (!) strap buttons and a soft case. So let me introduce the Lanikai MA-S soprano ukulele:
