At Ukulele Meetup II , a fellow ukulele player was playing a Flight ukulele, and I jumped at the opportunity to borrow it from her for a quick test . It is a beautiful, large, solid instrument — perhaps one of the largest, if not the largest, tenor ukuleles I had ever held. Looking up the exact model later, I found that the NUT-310 is one of Flight's entry-level models. It is made from African sapele, with a distinctive laser-engraved "caveman" design around the soundhole. I am not usually a big fan of laser-engraved graphics, but I actually found this one quite amusing , and I apparently made some dreadful joke about it in the video too .

Another thing I particularly liked is that the factory soft case supplied with the ukulele is finally not the usual black, but beige. Of course nobody chooses a ukulele based on the color of its case, but it is still a refreshing change among the endless sea of black cases. I had the ukulele for a few days and enjoyed playing it during that time. I had no problems with it, and my overall impression was that it is a good entry-level tenor ukulele. Let's see — and hear — what it sounds like:
