Lanikai FM-C

In the next part of our Lanikai series, we take a look at a concert-size ukulele, the FM-C. The name stands for "Flame Maple" and the C indicates the concert size. This ukulele is made from flamed maple, so thanks to its appearance we can spend minutes hours admiring it, and its silky feel is equally hard to get enough of. The light-colored body is decorated with dark binding and inlays (according to the manufacturer's website, the wood is bloodwood; if anyone knows a better Hungarian name for it than "vérfa" , let me know ). It is a genuinely elegant ukulele with a soft, caressing tone to match its appearance.

This Lanikai also comes with two strap buttons and a soft case. I would happily recommend it as a beginner's instrument if you want something beyond the most basic entry-level ukulele, although because of the woods and decorative details used, the FM-C naturally sits in a more expensive category.
