Dear Ukulele Players! Before I write about the course, please allow me a short detour: I know I owe you some new song arrangements. (According to the statistics, this is the most popular blog category.) During the summer I went on a business trip to China that required a great deal of preparation, and alongside a huge amount of work I simply had no time left to make videos—there was certainly no summer slowdown at my workplace. My latest videos were actually made during that trip to China (Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City); if you are interested, I warmly recommend them.

This year's spring course unfortunately had to be cancelled, contrary to my plans, because several things came up. As a result, more than half a year passed between two courses. That felt like such a long time that I could hardly wait to meet you again and play together. So last Sunday, after a long break, I finally held another course. Just a few minutes ago the photographs arrived from Csilla Vargawho is not only an enthusiastic ukulele player but also an excellent photographer. Once again she took fantastic pictures—huge thanks . I warmly recommend Csilla to anyone looking for an event photographer, so do contact her !

Once again I had help in the morning: Olga and I met in District XVI and travelled to the venue together. After carrying everything in and arranging the room (thanks for the help, Olga!), participants began arriving, we set up the music stands, and a few minutes after 9:00 the course began. I felt the atmosphere was really good, even though there were several difficult exercises. Perhaps the least popular was recognizing major and minor chords by ear , but I hope the participants nevertheless enjoyed themselves.

D'Addario continues to support my courses, for which I am very grateful, and thanks to them we were once again able to raffle a few ukulele accessories.

And now for Csilla's photos:
