About two months ago I had the chance to try a very beautiful electro-acoustic Lanikai ukulele with a solid cedar top, the CDST-CET. This time its non-electronic counterpart, the CDST-T, stayed with me, and unsurprisingly it made a positive impression.

There are two differences between the previously tested CDST-CET and the CDST-T shown here. One is obviously the electronics. The other is that the electro-acoustic model has a cutaway, while the instrument presented here has a full body, as you can see in the picture. It was very good to hold a solid-spruce-top ukulele in my hands again; I think it has a beautiful sound.

Everything I wrote about the CDST-CET naturally applies to this ukulele too: elegant and classically styled without looking boring, and in my opinion built with excellent taste and a careful choice of woods. This video was recorded after a proper "No-Shave December", so please forgive the facial hair .

This is no longer an entry-level ukulele, but it was still comfortably within the five-figure HUF price range. So if you do not need electronics but are looking for an elegant, reliable tenor ukulele, a Lanikai CDST-T like this is definitely worth considering.

Naturally, this instrument was also available from the Ukulele.hu webshop.

The webshop also included a short guide to choosing a ukulele, and I was happy to help personally by email or Facebook direct message as well .
