For New Ukulele Owners II - Your First Chords

I could just as well have called this post "the first steps", because learning to fret and sound chords is when the little masterpiece we call a ukulele truly becomes a musical instrument in our hands.

Learning chords is a long process. Week after week and month after month we will encounter new ones. Some chords will immediately feel natural under our fingers, while others will certainly make us work before we can memorize them.

As I wrote earlier, I originally recorded a forty-minute video of almost unwatchable length. In the end I split it into two, so the patient but enthusiastic ukulele apprentice now has to battle through only about twenty minutes at a time.
