I recently had the chance to try a seriously impressive Lanikai: a beautiful tenor-size ukulele made of ziricote. The workmanship is excellent in every detail and the finish is immaculate. Even running your hand along the neck is a pleasure: the wood feels silky and the fret ends are perfectly rounded. The light-coloured binding around the dark body elegantly highlights the instrument's shape.

The body is actually quite large even by tenor standards. It is comfortable to hold and, like every Lanikai, it has two strap buttons, so you can attach a shoulder strap straight away if you wish. Naturally, it also comes with a factory case. I made a video about this wonderful instrument — I hope you enjoy it:
