A few weeks ago I tried an entry-level, concert-size Baton Rouge ukulele made from mahogany. On Baton Rouge's more recent models, special emphasis is often placed on coloring the headstock, and that is also visible on this instrument:

The binding is particularly attractive and highlights the outline of the slightly darker mahogany body very effectively. This ukulele has no strap button. On Baton Rouge instruments I sometimes find the tuning machines a little stiff. Not on this one — in fact, these were some of the nicest tuners I have ever turned . A case has to be purchased separately; one is not included from the factory. Let us hear how it sounds!
