Ukulele courses in June 2021
UPDATE: both courses have reached the minimum number of participants, so both will definitely go ahead!
Dear (Future) Ukulele Players!
Since last August's course I have received a great many emails asking when the next course would be held. Because of the restrictions, naturally we could neither organise nor run courses, but the opportunity has now opened up again, and I am delighted to announce the first two ukulele courses of the year:
Ukulele Course I — Sunday, 13 June 2021, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Ukulele Course II — Sunday, 20 June 2021, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
If you are interested and would like to register, click the “Courses” menu item, where you can read all the information and submit your registration.

I would like to highlight two important new features:
- The course fee can also be paid with an OTP SZÉP card!
- When entering the course venue, participants aged 18 or over must prove immunity against coronavirus with an official certificate or the relevant app. If you have already been vaccinated but have not yet received the physical certificate, you can also use the app (under Government Decree 60/2021 (II. 12.) on proof of immunity against coronavirus). Without proof of immunity, participation in the course is not permitted.
The course will be held at a new venue:1051 Budapest, Arany János utca 10., at the Aranytíz Cultural Centre, where we will meet on both occasions. This beautiful venue can be reached from Széchenyi tér by tram 2 or buses 16 and 105; from Széchenyi utca by buses 15 and 115; and it is only a few minutes' walk from the Arany János utca metro station. If you come by car, hopefully you will be able to find parking in one of the surrounding streets.
I deliberately scheduled the two ukulele courses only one week apart. During — and after — previous Course I sessions, several people told me they wanted to continue immediately with Course II, so this time I tried to make that possible. I would nevertheless like to stress that the material learned in Course I cannot become fully internalised skill in the single week before Course II; you cannot bring the entire Course I material to an automatic, confident level in just seven days. Even so, the Course II material will still be learnable, and the two courses together will give you so much information and content that you will have material to practise for many months afterwards. So if you would like to attend both courses, this is your opportunity: you will receive a 10% discount on the fee for each course.
I look forward to your registrations, and if you have any questions beforehand, send me an email or contact me on Facebook.
So, the venue is:
