Environmental protection is becoming increasingly important in instrument manufacturing, just as it is in every area of our lives. Baton Rouge has created a new ukulele series called “rECOtimber” based on the following philosophy: the manufacturer wants to leave as small an ecological footprint as possible when producing each ukulele and considers the protection of tropical rainforest trees especially important. For that reason, this series is made exclusively from European woods using a new heat-treatment process. In the following video I present three members of the rECOtimber family: the UTCY-S soprano, the UTW-C concert and the UTW-T tenor. All three are solid-wood instruments. Enjoy!
