I am always excited to pick up a ukulele from a brand I have never tried before. I examine how its appearance, decoration and body construction differ from the instruments I already know, and I am curious what kind of sounds I can coax out of it. That was exactly how I felt about a Cort BWT tenor ukulele that Norbi lent me for a few days:

This is an all-solid-wood ukulele made from acacia — more precisely, blackwood acacia. The instrument itself is not black, of course, but dark brown, and I think the color is genuinely elegant. A factory soft case is included. Cort does not (yet?) follow the market trend of fitting at least one strap button to a ukulele. This one still comes in the traditional strap-button-free configuration, so if we want to use a shoulder strap, the appropriate fitting has to be installed afterwards.

I liked the instrument. Because it is made from solid wood, it has a particularly beautiful, full sound. On this particular example there is one tiny cosmetic imperfection that perhaps should have been caught during quality control. I mention it in the video as well — where you will also discover what my favorite drink is .
