I would like to teach you the intro to a wonderful Beatles song. Here Comes the Sun was released on the Abbey Road album in 1969, so it belongs to the Beatles' later period. And, for anyone who may not know, this one is unusually not a Lennon–McCartney composition: it was written by George Harrison, and inspiration struck him at Eric Clapton's country house. Lennon later did not take part in the studio recording because he was recovering from a car accident. You can find plenty more little facts like these if you search for the song online .

Those who have been reading the Hungaria Ukulele Blog for a long time are probably tired of me writing how much I love the Beatles, but unfortunately I am going to mention that every time I cover one of their songs . Here Comes the Sun is such a light, delicate song that I definitely wanted to arrange it. It is popular among guitarists too, thanks to its highly characteristic intro, and the song works very well with strummed accompaniment.

The intro itself is built around three chords, but playing the melody together with the arpeggiated accompaniment is not particularly easy, so I recommend it mainly to ukulele players who already have some experience. I have prepared the complete song with lyrics and chords, and you can find it under Downloads (the full song uses a few additional chords). Here, then, is my version of the intro — I hope you enjoy it:
